I am a new Flickr user. I was trying to post the link to the set I created of my son's snake pictures, but the best I can do is show 'em one at a time (or, if you clink on link you can see the four pics I have put up so far). This one was about 100 yards from our tent.
How do you prepare for the end of the world?

I love orthodox Catholicism and snakes, so it's all good.

What do blind snakes eat?

Blind mice?

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

hey cran! pretty snake! it looks like a cold corn snake- lots of snakes will lose their brilliance (color-wise) when they're cold or out of the sun for long periods of time. getting it under a heat lamp with a bowl of water it can dunk in if it pleases will usually perk them up, and you'll see much brighter colors.

and for a bit of extra fun- biologists used to think that there were only around 200 poisonous species of snake in the world... researchers recently realized that even constrictors and traditionally 'nonvenomous' snakes have venom- the number has jumped to over 2000!

so... good luck~!

Thank you. I've since let her go to be a free wild animal.

And, for those interested, I did not accidentally kill her in the process.
