This reminds me of conversations common among rockers... I've never seen someone play well when drunk although I've already seen someone think he plays better once drunk !! Anyway I might have a pint from time to time, but I really prefer tea...

The way the drink drive laws have really tightened up here, many musicians are now drinking red bull by the pint.
Apparently one can is the equivalent of drinking twelve cups of strong coffee.

You,ll be far to old at 21 to start drinking, its like piping you have to start young, the adverage age in Ireland is about fourteen, seven years tipsy, seven years well oiled ,seven years paraletic ,and then your a drinker!!!

Well, there you go. Even if I wanted to start (which I don't), I couldn't. There'd be no point. :)

I usually play both guitar and pipes during shows. What i will do is put all of the piping first. I usually down a beer before we start and then switch to water during the first set.

Once i put away the pipes I start the beer drinking again. I would say the average show consists of about six pints. I guess i am about 6'6'' and totally Scottish. I think its in my blood. Unfortunatly I can only drink that much when there is an open bar.

My Dad drowned in a vat of beer. But not before he got out three times to pee

Mine too. Three men tried to pull him out, but he fought them off bravely.

For a set of Taylor pipes, I'd swim through a lake of Jameson with my mouth closed!
