Excellent. I am glad all are well. Count on being sleep-deprived all the time for about a year. You've only had them for two days. By this time next week, you will be of the opinion that people who have their babies one at a time are slackers. And you'll start to cringe everytime you hear some complete stranger say "Look! Twins! Aww!" as they come up to ogle and fawn over your babies. These are inevitably women, and sometimes it is impossible to make your way down the street without being stopped a dozen times by strange women slobbering over your babies. Your consolation is that you get to look down their blouses when they bend over to make baby-talk noises at the kids.Chiffed wrote:Healthy, happy, and home. She was 6lbs4oz, he was 7lbs7oz. And a couple of warnings -- one toddler may not be able to move a chair up to where he can climb onto the stove and counter, but two, working asssiduously together, certainly can. And one baby may not be able to get out of the crib by himself, but if he as an accomplice to boost him up . . . you getting the picture?
Everything Ray Romano says is true.

Thanks, all.
Gonzo: conspiracy theories are de rigeur w/ twins!
Wanna know how many people ask if they're identical, even after hearing that they're boy and girl? We've counted 18.
We've got the housing issues solved: the addition was built with twins in mind, and the teens are no problem. 'Failure to Launch' doesn't happen with screaming toddlers running everywhere at home.

Congratulations! I'm glad all is well. I remember your post in April about the surprise of more fingers and toes than you were expecting. My sister was also very surprised to learn that she was having twins, and it was pretty rough for awhile but her husband helped a lot and those two babies were so cute together. Even before they could truly play together they interacted and copied each other and it was just hilarious. They are in their senior year in high school now and both have added so much to the lives of everyone in our family.
