9000 posts. That'll make a mighty long fence. You got enough barbed wire?

In 9000 Earth years, Walden will have about 40 million posts on Chiff. They might run out of smoking jackets and executive restroom keys to hand out to him. I hear that for a million posts you get a special surprise.

It's a tradition here on the Chiff board to celebrate round number of posts. Other boards have other traditions and rituals. There are enough nasty folks making snide comments, or engaged in flame wars, or even worse in other parts of the Internet that some harmless celebration and humor can only be to the good.

I still remember a time on this board when 1000 posts commanded much respect and 4000 seemed unreachable for a human being.
Go play whistles!

Oh, well done Walden!

Hmmm 9000?

What's better than whistles, is the people who play them :)

Walden is like a big-old log in the woods - seen it all and still here.

Well done.
All the best!

hmmm.... spoken like a true 121 poster.

Hey, when you've been around as long as some of these folks, you need things to celebrate.
