Speaking of conspiracy theories, the old "Paul McCartney is dead" theory came into my field of reading today.

And it made me think (sometimes things do that): what will the conspiracists say when he actually dies?

yes, interesting point. A whole era of weird encryptions lost to technology.

Surely you can listen to an audio CD backward with a computer.

You didn't even have to play Strawberry Fields backward...
I buried Pau-I buried Pau-I buried Pau-
Oh, and when McCartney dies, I'm sure the
conspiracy theorists will say, "Man, I feel old!"

Then he'll join Elvis and start making unconfirmed appearances around the country...
At the end of it all, I want to be told "Well done". I don't want to _be_ well done!

I think it's "I BERRIED, Paul" - meaning he went out and picked berries.

Naw... it was "I married Rupaul." It was the sixties. Times were different. The public wasn't willing to understand. Inter-racial marriage wasn't even LEGAL in this part of the country for most of the 1960's!

"I buried Paul" is said to refer to John's commenting that his singing or playing had been too loud and Paul couldn't be heard.
Best wishes,
Jerry

I have never heard that theory before. When I saw the title of this thread I actually gasped and my heart started beating hard. I guess, having been a Beatle-maniac, I've just got some remains of those feelings yet inside without me even knowing it. The same sort of title is used here for people who really have died as well. Maybe most people are so much younger seeing that title wouldn't affect them the same way. I guess I'm just feeling sort of cranky tonight, sorry.
