Another laugh: Strongbad emails on Homestarrunner

Post by KatieBell »

For those of you feeling a little sophomoric after pushing the red button or watching the dancing Harry Potter puppet pals singing bananaphone, I thought I'd share a slightly more sophisticated form of humor. (That's sarcasm in case anyone is wondering.)

Homestarrunner has an entire world of comics to explore, but Strongbad remains my favorite.

I like better Marzipan than Strongbad.

What can I say? When I find something good, I stick with it. :)

Marzipan comes in a close second for me.

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

Here's my kid Gabe and his friend Matt piloting Trogdor the Burninator--their school's entry in the Baltimore Kinetic Sculpture Race:

And here is their sock-puppet--a sock-puppet on-board being a requirement for every competitor. Strongbad of course:

That is just super cool!

I stumbled across the kinetic sculpture races when googling for something totally unrelated. I looked at pictures from years past and thought it one of the coolest things I'd seen.

Now having a Strongbad entry is just the coolest ever!

:D
