- Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

I should hope not! Besides, we aren't supposed to discuss such things in the Pub.emmline wrote: I cannot address the condition of your hypo.

Oh dear. I think that came from that thread where talasiga said we should call him talasiga and not tal, unless we bowed deeply or something, or maybe it was never. I can't really remember. So I thought I would just keep on calling him talasiga and that he should call me Mister Cynth to keep on the same respectful footing. Isn't that from a movie that Sidney Poitier was in? Well, not Mister Cynth, of course, but Mister Tibbs, Mister Virgil Tibbs. Anyway, although it seemed humorous at the time I must admit I am sort of failing to see why I thought it was so funny .
I am supposed to be in Portland, Oregon visiting relatives right now but I am at home. Flight cancellations and new flights at different airports and delays making connections impossible and overbooked next possible flights. Whew! Will be trying again tomorrow. I'm getting there (provided the flights actually happen) in the middle of the night, not my first choice of arrival time when I have to drive a rental car on unfamiliar freeways and follow written instructions ---but there will be less traffic so that is good, and I was darn lucky to get on those flights. I feel sorry for myself but I feel even sorrier for the people at the airport who were trying to re-book flights. What a nightmare day they must have had----I guess the airlines are filling up planes a lot more, running fewer flights, so if you miss a connection, due to a delayed or cancelled previous flight or whatever, you are really in trouble since there are just not many unsold seats anymore. I really almost was not going to be able to go for several more days at best.

Cynthie baby? You'd best start runnin', son.talasiga wrote:Now jest a goddam minit here Cynthie baby.
This is MY self indulgent couch topic, not yours!
I guess we did get sort of off the topic there. But, you know, I think you could increase your popularity even more by letting people flop down on your couch and go on and on for a few minutes about whatever trivial things are disturbing them. The sorts of things which wouldn't merit starting a new thread but which one has gone on and on about at home to the point of having exhausted one's listeners. It would probably be quite a therapeutic experience for people to get to sit down and rant for a few minutes and if the couch is big enough it shouldn't interfere with your lunch much.

You've put me in a fishy mood now!.....I'm having hot smoked salmon for dinner! Yum! (...and very simple! )...I'm just off to the garden now, to pick some simple vegetables, which will be accompanied by even simpler spuds!talasiga wrote:Is it floundering?

ps...don't know if you have this in USA. it's smoked salmon, but cut in big thick fillets...then you cook it like normal salmon.
