Been there, done that. Just remember to take your Synthroid regularly *if* it's prescribed. If not, not. My prayers go with you.

Best of luck.

Steve

By now it should all be a done deal. I know you are relieved and will keep you in my thoughts.

Lamb, my husband had a similar surgery experience and was shoved out the door way too soon because it was "closing time". Heck, we'd not have sent a dog home from surgery that out of it. Anyway, I'd driven my right hand drive jeep that day and the nurses dumped him at the curb. They about freaked when they realized what side of the car I was putting him in, running back yelling "NO, NO, he can't drive".

I've gotta say though that it doesn't compare to Lamb's tale.

I've not had a surgery, but I have had thyroid problems, and they are a much bigger deal than people without them can often understand. The emotional issues, the physical issues, the psychological issues. Thyroid problems are common in my family, and I can say for certain that those who say stay on the medicine are right.

me too and I agree...
The thyroid is like the body's thermostat or gas pedal, and when the body is running too fast or too slow, the brain does too.

Cranberry, you've been through a long difficult time with this. I hope the surgery will make things better for you.

Yes, it's true... and it seems an alarming number of problems with thyroids these days, including more than cancer.
