sincerely,

Some of us have cats and dogs, and love both equally. :)
I swing both ways  After years of cat companionship, we now are befriended by a dog, Vera.
She's a white German Shepherd. Many German Shepherds are suspicious of strangers, and are vulnerable to hip problems. Vera is embarassingly affectionate with strangers. She has very healthy hips, but weak teeth

She also has a very good sense of humor.

This is Samson, our Great Pyrenees. The photo is from 2004, when he was 9 years old. Now he's 12 and nearing the end of his life (thinner, slower, can't get up without help, etc.).

Here's our current boy: Wiley the curly coated California coyote (aka miniature poodle). We call this one his mug shot. He loves to sing along when I play the whistle:

And here's our dear old Cedar, late in his life (he died in 2005 at the ripe old age of 18 ), cuddling with Tony:

mutepointe's buddy Dot wrote: Then it was time to eat the hamburgers. There were four of them, but dad only served up two of them. "HEY DAD! THERE ARE STILL TWO HAMBURGERS IN THE KITCHEN!" I kept trying to tell dad. There are still two perfectly good hamburgers that no one is eating. when do you think we will get to eat those two good hamburgers? I better go keep an eye on them.

I also liked the picture with all the Halloween bones!

Well.....

Here is Little Momma, Floyd and Lillian

Image

Little Moms by herself(she had a horribly rough life before we got her and she enjoys the fireplace

Image

my present skye terrier Hope at 10yrs- this is one dog who definitely enjoys herself, nothing bothers her and she is her own dog, very laid back, with a "what me worry?" attitude about everything.

Image

I have no photos of our 16 + yrs Australian Shepherd "Jeeter". He was shot about 8 yrs ago and runs if anything, including a camera, is pointed at him. I don't blame him. He lost one hind leg as a result of the nerve damage from the shooting.

Here's our other 16+ Australian Cattle Dog Gracie. Ultimate cow dog in her day, and my husband's constant companion.

Image

And here's two that were wonderful dogs from the past that I loved dearly and still miss to this day...

always first in my heart- The Bigun- Ch Buffalo Drumnacoub-
He loved to show, was always ready for whatever came along, considered himself my equal(and had to be reminded at least once a month that I was really top dog. )He was a big goof who was truly a one person dog (mine) with a great heart and sense of humor to match. I've gotta find some better pictures of these dogs. This was 1985

Blossom (Ch. Buffalo Blackberry Blossom) was queen bee of our house and the classic "bitch" to the other canines in her realm. She was a great pet and one of the best dogs I ever owned. Here we are in the group ring at Montgomery Kennel Club after winning Best of Breed at our national specialty show (Skye Terrier Club of America)-1989.

Sorry for your loss, Slude. Pyrenees are such handsome animals, and have such soulful eyes. Condolences.
