Hi, AlonE.
You played for seven hours straight? Wow. I doubt that our bodies can handle that.
By the way, it might be good to post your message in Spanish so we can see your original, too. I'd enjoy reading both.
Best wishes, Art

Hola, AlonE:
¿Tocaste siete horas sin parar? Vaya. Dudo que el cuerpo aguantaría éste.
A propósito, quizás sería una buena idea poner tu mensaje en castellano para que podemos ver el original también. Me encantaría leer los dos.
Un saludo, Art

And when the ambulance arrives, and you have to explain that you suffered a whistle injury, you'll die from embarassment!
Seriously, which hand has the bad finger, left or right? I predict the left.
You're probably gripping the whistle too tightly. I call it gorilla grip. Hide your whistles in a box for 24 hours. Then start to practice again using minimum finger pressure. The left (upper) forefinger plays a role in supporting the instrument, and spends more time in the down position than the other fingers. So there's a tendency to press it too hard. A lighter touch will give you less pain, and more speed.
It happens to me if I play too long, with pain in the hand and arm. The cure is to stop for a day or two until the pain is gone. Most instruments may involve some minor pain. But acute pain from overpractice can be very serious and lead to permanent injury. So don't ignore the problem!
Pero hombre, 7 horas sin parar ... uy! Necesitas otro pasatiempo además, como el ajedrez.

Perhaps then thanks friends.
Must think about looking for a girlfriend … today takes medicines (ibuprofeno), and I believe that they have alleviated the pain to me. But the problem is that the body requests to me to play, not if whistle manages to be two days without my. : ( ............God, help me....
Tnx All

AlonE,
I think MTC has identified the problem as "gorilla grip". I wish I could spend seven hours in the day playing my whistles. I'm lucky if I get one. But my wife and I get finger pains from typing - we do a lot of typing: we both do work on computers.
If you use a little hand cream and gently massage your own hands, you should find this eases the pain and relaxes tightened muscles. It is important to rub (quite hard) the muscles of the palms of your hands as well. Use your thumb to press and move in small circles. You should find this make your hands a lot more comfortable.
