Maybe it might be a good idea to put a couple of notices up in milltown next week, the npu shop and maybe stick a few up in shop windows etc?

Tell us something.: I am a walrus, I am a tea pot. John Lennon said that but people see him as a guru. Well, tell, you what he also almost became a piper asking Paddy Keenan to teach him. (bleep) got bored & went on the sitar and the rest is history.

Cheers everybody for your concern and helpful suggestions. Greatly appreciated. I'm getting things sorted at the moment, a chanter and drones I think which should tide me over until ..... my pipes return
Anyway, I would appreciate it if you could still keep a keen eye out for them. It could be a while before they surface, that's if they ever do. I'm praying and praying!
Cheers again

Hi John

I know of a whistle distrubutor in New South Whales who may be able to lend you (give you) a whistle or two. I've given him an email so hopefully he'll get onto you. Meanwhile you may like to check out Mitch Gatz's website http://www.ozwhistles.com.

As Willie Week and the Saint Chartier festival are immenent, perhaps those going should keep an eagle eye out for this set.

Yes - John has already been advised we will be looking out at St Chartier which is certainly a possibility. Willie Week - would not have thought they would turn up there so soon as too many pipers around who would know but then again you can never tell.

I don't think so. The windcap doesn't look right for it, and I don't believe Joe has ever made a boxwood chanter before.
