I am cured of WHOA
Like most WHOA sufferers I have, for several years, bought/exchanged/sold cheapies, tweaked cheapies and high-end whistles in the search for my perfect High D.
Several times I have thought that I have found it only for the love to fade after a few months as a new favourite has come into my life !
Now I have truly found the whistle for me and it is made by a person more widely known for his low whistles.
And my perfect whistle is ...? - a Ronaldo Reyburn narrow bore.
Jessie Kislin said of the regular bore High D '.....It is fascinating to me that such a simple construction can create such a pleasing and reliable tone......The NEW Reyburn high D whistle (High D-LB) is unpretentious, attractive and successful, and I recommend it highly.'
I have not played the model of whistle to which Jessie refers but for me those words apply equally to the narrow bore.
A really nice whistle made by a gent who is a great guy to do business with.

A cure for WHOA! That's great news for my wife. She has asked on several occasions about a treatment for WHOA. Maybe a therapy/medication regimen or one of those patches or something.
She also said something else, but I couldn't make it out over the sound of myself whistling. Hope it wasn't important.

many times ------you got that right ---the only even close cure is a nagging wife----even then i buy the whistles and take the ass chewing---it only last a few daysAdrian wrote:I have been cured of WhOA, many times in fact!
Why is it that no matter how many you buy that there are always about 6 more whistles that you NEED?
