This is why it can be hard to learn to play the whistle

Post by sbhikes »

Why I fear the day my wooden flute arrives, and why $7 whistles are a good thing.

The green one gets jealous and wants to sit on my fingers and yell while I play and bite the whistle when she gets a chance.

The white one is well-behaved but is coveting the glass of wine in front of me.

Great pics! When I first took up the whistle, our junior cat was always wanting to chin-mark the whistle. I don't know whether it was to assert dominance over the screeching thing or if she really liked it.

I've decided they are trying to 'subtly' knock it out of my mouth so I will quit screeching and they can have my attention focus again.

You can see in the first picture the green bird's mouth is open mid-squawk.

Ah, the bird-song of the parrot...
