Yeah !!! Its OVER!!

Today, my son graduated from University of California, Irvine in Film Studies and History. None of the kids (we have three) are undergrads anymore.

Does that make them overgrads?

Hmmm!

Film Studies? Are you subjected to the occasional Eisenstein or Fassbinder? Cocteau?

I like the ballet Cocteau scored with Satie, has a typewriter in the orchestration...

Congrats!

Hooray for you!
I have 2 in college, a third starting in a year, and the fourth starts in three years. Woohoo!
Sadly, the likelihood of scholarships dwindles with each child in our case.

Congrats!! I haven't gotten to the "kids in college" part of parenting yet. Katherine (17) wants to go to Queens in Belfast at this point. Who knows for how long....she wants to major in Biology it seems (good for her! Maybe she'll pick up where I left off ;) ). Christopher (16) will be right behind her, but he has no idea what he wants to do or where he wants to go.
Someday, everything is gonna be diff'rent
When I paint my masterpiece.

Hearty congratulations to you and your son! My second daughter has one year to go as an undergraduate in Social Work at the University of Washington. My wife just graduated last week with her MSW from the same school!

BTW, nice looking bicycle frame in your avatar! My own bike is a custom Davidson made of Reynolds tubing, also from 1979. I still use it most days to get to work. Hope to do some touring this summer though.

Is that a Wakefield glider in your Avatar? Bruce Davidson frame??? I'm rebuilding the 753 with period components, but it won't be a hanger queen. Its got to be ridden.

Kevin, this is Brian, Fel's son. I don't think "subjecting" is the correct term when you're showing someone the glory that is Eisenstinian montage-- Battleship Potemkin, Man with a Movie Camera, all are glorious; Dad should feel privileged to view such masterpieces.

Oh God.

I need a job...

Thanks for the Congrats guys :)
