It's new (and funny) to me!

I saw Jerry O'Sullivan come through the chow line at Elkins with his drones over his shoulder playing "Scotland the Brave" (or was it "Scotland Depraved"?).

I wish I had a picture of that!

Yeah! I remember that! Way back in '95, I believe. I don't remember any tunes, but if it was "Scotland the Brave", I probably blocked it out of memory.

Man, I can't believe I contributed to this thread. I hate that picture of that poor lady!

I dunno. Sure, the Pipes Lady might have taken her cue from Spillane, O'Brien, and Quinn, but she still hasn't figured that bellows out. Unless that's County Sialkot (Contae an Saoidheálcomhat) style.

I am equally guilty of the upside down drone idea I think. It was actually the photog's idea...

Sure, you just hold them between your knees and squeeze ....

Here,s the conclusive undisputable evidence that not only is Davy Spillane to blame, but he could actually learn something from our old friend the piping lady,at least she holds the chanter the right way up !!!!

She is holding them exactly the way her husband or boyfriend, who is taking the photograph, is telling her to. You can tell by the look on her face. He still hasn't figured the bellows out.

Or anything else.

It just occurred to me that the photog could be her son. That might account for the smile of long-suffering indulgence on her face.
