Scots Dialect

Post by Chuck_Clark »

Can anyone answer a question for me about dialect in a Scottish poem/song?

The song is Hamish Henderson's "51 Highland Division's Farewell to Sicily".

I get most of it, but the line I can't figure out is "A' the bricht chalmers are eerie"

Thanks

Much obliged. I bookmarked the link - if I'm going to keep listening to the music, I'm sure I'll need it again.
