International Astronomy Day - April 21st
Hmm, looks like I beat Denny to the punch on this one. Its International Astronomy Day. Here's what's going on in Canada: Royal Canadian Astronomical Society. What's going on in your little world?

I'd rather be atop the foothills than beneath them.

- Tell us something.: I've picked up the tinwhistle again after several years, and have recently purchased a Chieftain v5 from Kerry Whistles that I cannot wait to get (why can't we beam stuff yet, come on Captain Kirk, get me my Low D!)

That kind of information takes three weeks by subspace transmission to reach my little world, so I won't know about it untill mid May.djm wrote:Hmm, looks like I beat Denny to the punch on this one. The big thing here to watch for tonight is the crescent moon in the west hanging over a very large Venus. There's supposed to be one of the oldest known comets on the extreme western horizon just after sunset - maybe a half hour window to see it. Can't remember the name .... Eke? Ikeya? Something like that.
I suppose a bit o' them Lurid meteors might be nice, too.

That half hour from sunset was so months ago.
