Post by TonyHiggins »

Dana (DCrom) sent me photos from the Chiff Gathering at his house last weekend to post on the Clips site: http://tinwhistletunes.com/clipssnip/Danas3-07.htm

Damn! What fun!

I shoulda drove up, with that pot-o-split-pea. It would only be 6 hours drive, one way.

It's my opinion - highly regarded (and sometimes not) by me. Peace y'all.

It's always neat to see other chiffers having such a grand time together

He's too mellow to point it out, but its spelled Aldon, not Alden.

And, some fat guy was impersonating me at the party, I swear. Sigh.

Audrey has a cute lil traveler harp that weighed like, four lbs, in addition to her other. That was amazing...

Looks like it was fun and thanks for sharing the photos. One question however, where are the copious amounts of adult beverages (booze)? :D

In the other room, of course. My copious containers were on the floor. Didn't kick em over once.

If I had been there, I'm sure I would have kicked them over for you. I have a certain aptitude for inadvertently knocking stuff over.

Why do you think we have wood floors? It's a LOT easier to clean up after I spill something

It was only after sending the pictures out I realized that I was not to be seen except in the picture on the wall, and Daughter #2 only showed up with her head turned away. Oh well. Probably a good thing on my part. I suspect my wife has a Dorian Gray type picture somewhere, but I'm not as blessed

It was a great party - a smaller group than last time since some folks were out of town or busy, but the crew who showed up were both a lot of fun and d****ed good musicians. Great motivation to keep working on my own playing - I want to be able to keep up with more tunes!

If I may turn off my irony switch and go with total sincerity, it warms my heart to see these pictures, and all of the pictures of such gatherings. I'm not as active in this little C&F project as I once was, but these pictures remind me that we have done a good thing starting C&F 11 years ago, I think it was.
