Hood Canal (in Washington state, USA) isn't a canal. The cartographer just didn't know how to spell "channel". Oh, and it's actually a fjord.

EAT??? Mate, this horse wouldn't eat if you put four millions volts through it. Its bleeding demised! This horse is no more! He has ceased to be! He's expired and gone to meet his maker!
