that's a hoot. my wife has problems with computers so i told her years ago that if she changes all the other clocks in the house, i'll figure out how to change the computer clock.

Do you suggest we change only once a year?

Looks like I will be changing my computer clock four times. Once today and once when it automatically up dates (nope changed that). When I update and try to synchronize with NIST I get an error, with windows standard time it changes it back to whatever the time was.

It annoys me greatly. I hope my guppies understand why they are getting fed at a different time.

Why is it that we're the only ones (as far as I know anyway) that are changing so soon? Usually it's the UK that goes before us. And now they're 2 weeks away from theirs. What is the advantage to that?

I beg to differ. If anyone should be the Goddess of Confusion, it should be me.

My computer clock changed for Daylight Saving Time all on its own. I was mildly confounded by that.

As for the more sleep/less sleep, thing, I slept badly and little last night, so the reckoning shift is a non-issue today.

I agree the time change is confusing and pointless, but emotionally I
like it. Makes me feel like spring is just around the corner. Brings back
memories of my dad getting our bicycles out of the basement, oiling the
chains and adjusting the brakes. Now that I'm thinking of it, I'll have to
mention that to him. "Dad, did I ever tell you..."

Although I perhaps appreciated it a bit when still a schoolchild, I find it a really silly thing. "Just adjust your store hours and deal with it!" is my motto... alas, no one is listening.

I do highly resent that I am up this moring short an extra hour on top of the others lost to dreadful happenings in the bulb of 'real life' I'm chewing my way through at the moment. Funerals, and the reasons for them, most often suck.

i like THIS time change! more sunlight which means more time being able to go out during the summer.....ESPECIALLY going to the beach! i really cant wait to go to the shore in a few months....

and you're not exactly losing sleep anyway.......if you just adjust the clock the night before then you'll still be getting the same amount
BTW!!! why the heck do they have the time change at 2AM??? who the heck is up at 2AM waiting to change clocks.....

Yes, I'd like Daylight Savings Time year round!
Me too. I like having the extra daylight in the evening. I don't care if it's dark when I get up and go to work (I work in a building with no windows), and I really like that extra hour of light when I'm up in the mountains on an after-work hike. :)

For some reason, the VCR didn't automatically change the way it usually does. I even turned on the public tv station, which is supposed to send out some signal. No dice. Guess I'll have to wait to the originally scheduled time before it changes.

Otherwise, I don't mind the Spring one, but hate the fall one because it's too dark when I get home. To me the Spring one just doesn't do much because we have plenty of daylight anyway by now.
How do you prepare for the end of the world?
