So sorry to hear the weather got you down with more than just a case of the blues. Surgery?!--sounds serious, and I don't blame you for wanting a bit of moral support.

Sending serious warm fuzzies your way, and will be thinking of you.

Don't forget to breathe as someone else said...and playing the whistle sure wouldn't hurt.

Good luck Jerry. You deserve better than this and I hope something much better is on the way right now. My thoughts are with you.

I hope things pick up and you will be back to full tweaker power as soon as possible.

Good luck.

Hope your whole community is coming together to help with this one, Jerry. Sometimes those weather phenomena can bring people of many backgrounds together to support each other.

Meanwhile, this community is behind you. Wish my shovel and I had been closer during the worst of the event. I've built some good shovel shoulders this winter.

A gentle hug in case it hurts.

You and your family are added to the prayer list. It sounds as though your plate is overflowing right now.

Bad things happen to good people..

That's just the way it goes..

Hang in there Bro, the World would be a poorer place without you..and what you do.

Hey dude...

Straight up. We love you, we love what you do for whistles, we love what you do for kids, and what you do for critters of all kinds.

You're a fountain of good. Be good to yourself while your health catches up with you.

You're awesome - hang in there.
Daniel

It's my opinion - highly regarded (and sometimes not) by me. Peace y'all.

Jerry, would you mind if I sent you a PM? I swear, I've looked for your address with no success, both here and at eBay. Thanks.

Certainly. Go ahead.

Thanks to all for your kind words of support. It's helped a lot, and I'm grateful.

I had an appointment with the surgeon shortly after I posted this thread. He reassured me the operation won't be a very big one. I'll be able to go home the same day (he would normally keep me overnight, but he's confident I'm strong enough, and he's helping keep the expense down. Researching online, I had been reading about three and four day hospital stays for the same problem.) I should be able to resume normal work, with no restrictions, within about 10 days after the surgery, which is a very pleasant prospect.

After taking several days' rest, I seemed to stabilize somewhat. The weather has cooperated by not making me shovel much snow, and I've been able to stay productive overall without having to do much physical work.

Some days, I'm not able to stand for very long, but other days, I can do a reasonable amount of active work. It's unpredictable. There are a great many people who have much more serious things to deal with, so I'm thinking of them and counting myself fortunate.

All in all, now that I've recovered from the snow emergency and we have a plan going forward, I'm feeling much encouraged.

Again, thanks for your encouragement and support. You're a treasure.

Best wishes,
Jerry
