Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

I believe there used to be something
on the board about unsubscribing, but it's gone.

Also, though it may be technically impossible, it
would be nice if one could actually unsubscribe,
so that one couldn't post anymore without re-registering,
but have one's old posts survive with one's
'nom de board' on em.

Here's a little hint, something that I found at the end of the year when I moved on (I've had to come back briefly to collect some contact info I had stored in my PM's, and to do a little job related research):

You can "deactivate" your account by going to your profile page and changing your email address, and hitting the update button. You will get a message stating that your account has been deactivated, and won't be reactivated until you reply to an email that has been sent to the new email addy you just entered. Don't reply to that system generated email, and your account remains deactivated - you can't post, you can't receive PM's, etc., you're C&F free.

If you truly don't want to be contacted, make sure you first update your profile to remove all AIM, MSN, or whatever messaging contact info, remove any weblinks from your profile, and so on. Update your profile to remove all of this stuff, then go back and change your email after the initial update.

If you ever want or need to come back to C&F, as I've had to do, you dig up your saved reactivation email, reply to it, and your account is available again.

Rinse and repeat as necessary.

this topic is as close as it's going to get to the concern that's been rolling around inside my head. i'm one of the people on this forum who doesn't know anyone else personally who is on this forum. there are probably some other people like me. what happens when jesus calls? should our family members send one more message? has anyone done this? i would think you folks would have a rockin' wake.

i'm actually more concerned about my nic at the msn gaming zone, i've worked hard to build up my rating there.

Good point. I do know a few folks personally but that doesn't help.
I have an envelope with a bunch of instructions. One of the instructions is for someone to log on here and tell what happened.

Then you'll all be sorry you kicked me around!!!!

Well of course not. I would have been disappointed otherwise.
