Winter rearing it's ugly head yet again
This is what I, and some other Chiffers, have in store for tomorrow through Thursday morning. Blizzard conditions, along with almost 2 feet of snow. The amount of snow isn't bad for me (although I'm not fond of 2 feet at a time), but for those near the lakes, I know it's very unwelcome.

I'm glad that I could help you with that, Deejdjm wrote:Thank goodness! Here I was getting all set to shovel a mound of snow, and then Izz's map showed me that the snow line will conveniently stop at the border. What a wonderfully considerate snowstorm! What a greatly accurate map!

I'm in Clifton, I live right near the university (I work there). We lost power this afternoon for about 10 minutes and the power has flickered a few times this evening.
I get to walk in to work in about two and a half hours too.
Edit: My folks live in Cheviot - so far it hasn't been too bad over there. They've not lost power or anything.

We've been waiting for the hammer to fall here in B'ton, and I decided not to trek out to Ithaca for the session because of this.
So far there's only a tiny speck of a glimmer of a smattering of maybe snow. We're projected to see about a foot and a half, eventually, but apparently not yet.
I think the snow is going to wait for me to fall asleep and then drop all at once.

We were under a storm watch last night and were told it would come down this morning. Instead, this morning we were no longer under a watch, and it didn't snow all day. Now its coming down, but its very small flakes due to the plunging temperature. There's not much accumulation, but the wind is picking it up and making things look worse than they are. My hope now is that it will all blow over through the night and I'll only have a few inches to shovel tomorrow morning. Then again ....

I thought of several of you northerners when I heard the forcast this evening. I'm hoping we don't get much down here.
And maybe our spring is just around the bend. I saw two polecats(skunks) tonight as I was driving home from band practice. If their stirrin' then maybe, just maybe......
