Piper's Review Poster Boy

Post by fel bautista »

Congrats to NoE as the featured piper on the cover of the Review this quarter. Couldn't do what Larry does with the purse strings for the Club. He also makes a great smoked salmon.

Tell us something.: I am interested in the uilleann pipes and their typical -and broader- use. I have been composing and arranging for the instrument lately. I enjoy unusual harmonic combinations on the pipes. I use the pipes to play music of other cultures.

How come I'm always the last one to get my "Review" in the mail?

Thanks for the kind words,

Last issue I waited a month after people here started talking about it, and then asked Wally to send me a replacement issue (which he kindly and immediately did).

The replacement and the original sent to me arrived the same day, about 5 weeks after the original was sent.

And my letter carrier complains when I call it snail mail. :swear:

I'm looking forward to seeing Mr. NoE soon (or later) in my mailbox...

Hasn't yet arrived in eastern Canada. Maybe it'll be in the mail box tonight. Love to sit down to a good Piper's Review and a few beers on a Friday night. :)

If it arrived on Monday, it is in my mailbox, but my wife's away with the mail box key on a business trip all week. :x

I'll read it Saturday :)

Same thing happened to me last quarter; sent Wally a note to send a replacement and both show up at the same time.

My copy arrived Friday, so I have to officially admit that I'm not the last one to get the "Review."

If you'd like your copy autographed, I'll be at the San Francisco Tionól

I haven't gotten mine. Maybe I'll be the last. Then again, I got the last one, with Tommy on the cover, really early.
