Tell us something.: I've picked up the tinwhistle again after several years, and have recently purchased a Chieftain v5 from Kerry Whistles that I cannot wait to get (why can't we beam stuff yet, come on Captain Kirk, get me my Low D!)

Lyrics to the song here.

Seems that the song was released in 2006 and is making commentaries about the human tragedies, the environment, war and the use of god as a justification for human activities. In the background it shows news footage.

I believe it is country music.

right. i posted it there. and i'm posting it here. the message is too powerful to get buried in the youtube megathread.

"what do you claim is lost?" you ask. as i said above, there's no need for commentary, only quiet reflection...

Sorry, you must be fairly young to think the evening news is any different now than it has been for the last fifty years, or even before there was any evening news. All the quiet reflection in the history of mankind has done nothing to alleviate it or made any significant change.

Just a singer and a guitar generating a whole lot of power. Adding pictures does make it more off a kick in the gut. (that's a good thing)

'Nuff said.
And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.
As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song.

A poignant song in the tradition of Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie.

I.... uh... well...
Are you devaluing the considerable - perhaps leviathan- intellectual and creative capacity of the Chiff and Fipple Poststructural Pubsters? Probably not.

My opinion? Pain and suffering are bad. Who's with me?

Excellent song. Says more than it says.
