Seems that the song was released in 2006 and is making commentaries about the human tragedies, the environment, war and the use of god as a justification for human activities. In the background it shows news footage.
I believe it is country music.

Sorry, you must be fairly young to think the evening news is any different now than it has been for the last fifty years, or even before there was any evening news. All the quiet reflection in the history of mankind has done nothing to alleviate it or made any significant change.

And whether the blood be highland, lowland or no.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.
As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song.
And whether the skin be black or white as the snow.
Of kith and of kin we are one, be it right, be it wrong.
As long as our hearts beat true to the lilt of a song.

Are you devaluing the considerable - perhaps leviathan- intellectual and creative capacity of the Chiff and Fipple Poststructural Pubsters? Probably not.
My opinion? Pain and suffering are bad. Who's with me?
Excellent song. Says more than it says.
Happily tooting when my dogs let me.
