The big HALF-K!

Post by fyffer »

Man, it took me long enough.
Almost exactly 2 years.
Let's see -- to reach Nano's heights, at that rate, it will take me another 22 years ...

How the heck do you guys get up so high??

I'll leave you for a while with some verse:

On C&F browsing and lurking,
My real duties pleasantly shirking,
I'm hoping you'll say,
"Fyffer made a half K!"
When we all know we should be working.

:)

I think of them as depths, actually. And not in the good sense.

500? You're hardly a slacker,
(You could up it if you're a good hacker,)
Sure we'll give you some flack,
'til you feel a bit wack,
But we in the 1000's are wacker.

High posters most likely are logged onto computers at "work." The compulsive net checkin' is a perquisite of whatever toil we face. That's why it's really bad when the whole Board goes down for repair or server upgrades. it's happened before. Man, it was awful...Nyuk.

Congrats 1/2K. I think you get a woolen scarf or sumthin.
How do you prepare for the end of the world?

And thus the limerick gauntlet has been thrown.

I say we should each tip our hat
to Fyffer, who stepped up to bat
and hit a home run
(or at least half of one)
so to you and your "Half-K," Congrats!

That was fun.

Extra-long, of course.

My, I'm doing a lot of accessory shopping today. First smoking jackets, and now scarves.

The Gauntlet indeed has been tossed
And yet with this post, I have lost:
By the time I am done,
'Twill be Five hundred and ONE.
My glory now gone, at what cost?

Alas, my duties I cannot shirk
For C&F is blocked at work
So hereby I resign
From post-counting of mine
And go back to work with a smirk.
