I got my Hamilton today! It's lovely! I find it surprisingly easy to play, having only ever played an M+E. And I get a much better tone off the Hammy, as well. Go fig. Think I'll keep the M+E around for a while, though, as it's still a very nice flute.
Anyway, this is a thread for you guys to say "Yippee!" or something, and add one more onto your post count.

Wahoo!
You might find it uncomfortable moving between that nice, light, slim Hammy Pratten, and the R&R-style M&E. I think the M&E will be running along soon.

If the M&E is plastic, it may be worth keeping as a travel/outdoor flute, even if you do find the Hamilton to be your main best only flute.

Lucky guy! Do you find the Hamilton takes a lot more breath than the M&E? - Tod

Schwing!!
That's awesome. I love the smell of blackwood in the morning!
Has anybody ever seen or heard of a boxwood Hammy? It just occurred to me that I've seen several other makers' box flutes, but no Hammies.

I got a blackwood keyless. It's very pretty, and it smells good.
