We're going away...

Post by brewerpaul »

Hi-- in case someone tries to contact me regarding my whistles... we're leaving on a cruise in celebration of my wife's graduation from nursing school. We'll be out of computer reach (probably) from 12/17--12/28. If you don't get a reply, I'm not ignoring you!

Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...

Hi Paul & Char:
First, congratulations to Charlene on her graduation; what a nice feeling that must bring.
Second, I hope you kids remember to bring along some instruments on the cruise, whistles ( it goes without saying ), heck, take along some rec**ders too. Who will complain ? Make sure the instruments are keyed for duet-readiness, too. I really enjoyed your duet performances at the 2006 N.E.W.G. on the banks of the Scantic.
Have a great time.

Got it covered... I have Busman Eb wood, and an Acetal D which I intend to exhaustively field test in gruelling tropical locales :D
By a funny quirk of fate, Peter Bonesteel (Hudson Whistles) has a partner named Vivian who is going on the same cruise with her Mom. Peter is sending along a D whistle for me to borrow, so I'll be field testing that too.
We did indeed bring a pair of funky translucent Alto recorders and the Telemann Canonic Sonatas. Life is good...

Paul,

Enjoy your vacation. Let us know how the field testing turns out.
