How many are really angry? How many are play acting?

What are they angry about?

I'll be dating myself with this one but I think Neil Young's "Ohio" is a pretty angry song.

Yep it is, and rightfully so. One of the few Young songs that I like.

Flogging Molly's "The Spoken Wheel" is kind of a sad angry, but still angry I think. *edit* Almost forgot "Screaming at the Wailing Wall."

Also, the Tossers song "A Criminal of Me." That's pretty mad.

Dead Kennedys song "MTV-Get Off the Air" has the distinction of being an angry song that I agree with wholeheartedly.

I have no use for "angry" music, nor for the people who make it or listen to it. I am a positive, upbeat person, and I believe my every musical act should bring light and joy into my life, and into the lives of others. I stick to purely traditional music ... like Black Sabbath, for instance.

I don't think you could get any angrier than GG Allin, whose stage ethic was "My mind is a machine gun, my body is the bullets, and the audience is the target".

The best was from Kids in the Hall, where they would film someone looking between his thumb and forefinger at people far away and muttering to himself, "I am crushing your head". :boggle:

Early Elvis Costello.

Bruce Springsteen when he plays solo. (I own a German bootleg, incredibly good quality, of him doing a show in Germany during the Tom Joad tour)

Interesting--I never thought of Black Sabbath as angry so much as despairing.

I don't know, this guy seems a little miffed to me:

Try to stay on until the end of the video because there is a second of comic relief.
