Fair enough. Although I'd love to publish a metric Joy of Cooking... :)

you will have to accept the change to metric eventually so you may as well start now

Then you will be better prepared for the new metric 10 note scale.

Yammer yammer.

Here's a recipe for chocolate chip cookies in metric:

0.53232353325 liters all-purpose flour
4.92892161 ml baking soda
4.92892161 ml salt
0.236588237 liters butter, softened
(may use 236.588238 ml instead)
177.4411785 ml granulated [white] sugar
177.4411785 ml packed brown sugar
4.92892161 ml vanilla extract
2 eggs
0.473176421 liters NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
118.294119 ml chopped nuts

The little handles on the spoons would have to be huge fit all those numbers on them.
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

It's about time we did away with chocolate chip cookies, anyway. You can have these instead.

That's not a recipe. That's a replicable experiment.

I suppose you could round things off, but then you'd need 2.00215 eggs --

0.5 liters all-purpose flour
5 ml baking soda
5 ml salt
.25 liters butter, softened (may use 250 ml instead)
175ml granulated [white] sugar
175ml packed brown sugar
5 ml vanilla extract
2.00215 eggs
.5 liters NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
120 ml chopped nuts

So until they develop metric chickens to lay those metric eggs, I will keep my tbs and tsps and c.

You getting screwed, gonzo? Right. And Brittney is getting her Ph.D.
I see you have been reading Britney's Guide to Semiconductor Physics too.

I do away with them all the time. Yum! You can always make more.

As for eliminating the possibility of making them... You'll need a mighty big army to pull that off. I ain't givin' up my homemade chocolate chip cookies without a fight. :x

Yor fear meks yew steenk! Actually, I can proudly say that after more than thirty years of metrification I still have to change everything into imperial measures to understand their values, to appreciate their import.
