Perhaps one of, if not THE coolest thing you've posted yet from NASA. :)

I had a bit of trouble getting it to do anything except at the very start, but a couple of refreshes and retries got it swirling nicely away until about half way through. I know not of the mechanics of these things.
"Last night, among his fellow roughs,
He jested, quaff'd and swore."

They cut me down and I leapt up high
I am the life that'll never, never die.
I'll live in you if you'll live in me -
I am the lord of the dance, said he!

Aargh - now I can't get it to work again. It seems to be temperamental.

Due to the fact that sound is around 88,000* times slower than light and it takes about 8 minutes for light to reach the earth**, the sound that corresponds to this light show will not be available for another 2.7 years.

That being said, I think you will be disappointed in the sound clip. Although you would think the sound would be a deep baritone whoosh and thunderous roar, due to the atmosphere of the sun (Hydrogen 73.46 %, Helium 24.85 %) the sound is much higher in pitch (similar to the effects of hydrogen beer on the voices of karaoke singers) and quite annoying.

*Although the more solid the object the faster the speed of sound is so in a vacuum it ratio may be even bigger.
**Assumming that the Hinode satellite is a similar distance from the sun.

Well, it would if sound could travel through the vacuum of space.

That's a dark matter to discuss in a pub.
Giles: "We few, we happy few."
Spike: "We band of buggered."

It's a good thing sound travels through beer, or there'd be no conversation in pubs.

Eh?

(which only goes to prove that sound moves poorly through solid objects)

You might want to translate that for those who don't speak Canadian.
