Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Good luck dude, Cirque's da bomb.

Anyone here pass clubs? (obviously our 9 ball man does) Paul? Club passing is where the real fun in juggling is!

No passing for me-- I've never had partners! Love to give it a try sometime if I met some locals who were willing to indulge a newbie. My club juggling is not strong, so I'd have to start out with ball passing.
Got wood?

Seems that every one of the Quebecois kids who pick apples in the Okanagan was an expert club-passer. There were also several who were pretty good on slack-wire, which is, I hear, blinkin' difficult.

They were crumby djembe players, though.
Happily tooting when my dogs let me.

Uhn uh, passing with balls is way harder, really. Trust me on that one.

I used to pass balls with a guy in high school..never could juggle a club though. We never practiced much, though, so 3 or 4 passes was all we could really get away with before we were out of rhythm from each other.

It's true: clubs are much easier. Once you get the hang of them, they naturally flip right into and out of your hand without effort. You don't even have to try to catch them. Balls, however, are another story.

I used to juggle at the NC Rennaissance Faire -- that's where I got the name Geoffrey Taucer (not my real name).

I also used to show up (and, once in a blue moon, still do) at the NC State juggling club, which has since become the Method Rd juggling club.

Do you know Frank Jeffreys, by chance?

Anyway, I actually rarely juggle these days; I've been focusing far more on gymnastics.

Didn't make the cut. Basically, they said my acrobatic abilities were more than enough, but that I don't have enough control or good enough form. My coach should get a kick out of that, since it's exactly what he's been telling me for three years.

They did, however, encourage me to keep training and send in another demo so I could come in for another audition. I definitely plan to do so.

All this talk of juggling and other circus skills reminds me of my friend Brad Byers. We were in the same class at Moscow (ID) High School. He took up juggling in high school and got very good at juggling and could ride the unicycle while doing so. But he kept adding skills, over the years; http://www.bradbyers.com/

Did they give any suggestions? For example in what ways your form and control was lacking or was it in general?

Geeze, Fire Eating is one thing, but I draw the line at sword swallowing: "No Sir, not gonna do it!"
