Why Dogs hate Halloween

Post by Innocent Bystander »

I was sent these as an email, but of course, there are several web-pages with the same information on. This one seemed concise.

That's awesome! Actually my dog loves halloween, she loves children, and gaggles of them come to the door to pet her! ( At least in her mind).

And why should dogs suffer all the ignominy?

Dogs are good sports about it. Cats... not so much.

And, beyond cats...

In Netscape/Mozilla-type browsers you can right click on them and view the image.

Sorry folks. Tried using a new image hosting thang (Picasa WebAlbum). Doesn't seem all that stable. I could see the pix fine in Firefox and IE the whole time. Bizarro.... anyway, s/b fixed now. Yes? No? Maybe?

I can see them all. I didn't know that people had such great costumes for their pets. That kitty looks about as thrilled as mine would look---they just aren't that into holidays I guess  .

Ah there we go. NowI can see them all. I like the Roman Toga Dog. The cat on the other hand looks like is ploting the sudden demise of it's owner! :o

Dog costumes. I've never understood why people make costumes for dogs that have human arms and legs hanging off of them. Bizzare. It makes as much sense to me as those television adds, where there food begs you to eat it, all the while smiling and dancing... totally bizzare.

The thing that puzzles me is that Pugs are disproportionately represented in pictures like these.

Pug owners must just have that whimsical turn of mind, and a lot of spare time.

Whimsical as I find it, as a pet owner I find it amazing that people can convince their mammals into these outfits! Mine are well trained and good natured and such things wouldn't last more than 20 second on them.
