I see the latest member (still 5906 members total) is someone named Freeporn112 http://chiffboard.mati.ca/profile.php?m ... ile&u=7193 -- a hockey player and likes to run. I'll bet this one gets unsubscribed from the list real fast!
oops...DeepLook is now the latest member. Sounds like a good person--from Galway.

I often browse without logging in, which means I get counted as a guest. I'm probably not the only member who does that.Lorenzo wrote:From what I've seen, which is very little, on the average there are about twice as many guests as members online here at any given moment.

I just logged in after reading the preceeding threads to say you probably are the only one to do that.jsluder wrote:I often browse without logging in, which means I get counted as a guest. You guys don't have it set to log in automatically? I can't remember the last time I wasn't logged in.Flyingcursor wrote:I just logged in after reading the preceeding threads to say you probably are the only one to do that.jsluder wrote:I often browse without logging in, which means I get counted as a guest. I never do that. Never. Not once.jsluder wrote:I often browse without logging in, which means I get counted as a guest. It has its advantages, such as the rubber room remaining invisible.Lambchop wrote:I never do that. Never. Oh, well, I have like four passwords that I use for everything, so I can only mess up three times, at most if I forget which one it is.jsluder wrote:Nope. If I did that, I'd forget my password, which would make logging in from a different computer rather difficult.Congratulations wrote:You guys don't have it set to log in automatically?

Hey, I'll bet that explains a lot of it. And if you leave a separate window open for C&F, even though you may be on another window, you may show up as a guest all day even though you're not reading C&F only once in a while. But, there's several visitors registering everyday, and that must mean there's a lot of guests online also, trying to decide whether or not to join.jsluder wrote:I often browse without logging in, which means I get counted as a guest. Hmmmmmmmm (that's my braincells spinning-up) I've had an idea in the archives for about a year now that I might trot-out.
In my first burst of pennywhistle madness (the tingle of that first toe to touch the Way-Of-the-Whistle[WOW] {via flautum ducetum unum}) I transcribed everything in my life into the context of the tin leprechaun:
My previous lucrative carreer in corporate logistics became; "A waste of a good musical talent, to be sure"
My Marriage became; "just make sure she plays fiddle or harp!"
My child became; "Now if only we can get him to sing in tune!"
My dog became; "I remember fido - he would make a nice pendant with some knotwork"
My past became; "remember when you were 3 years old and your dad had to take you to the gig where he played drums at the old-time dance? Now that's why you hate the piano me boy! Take yer partner for the Pride of Erin!"
And the thing I did between contracts became "Hmm nice old medieval card thing micko - now how would the Irish have done that!"
And upon the latter prompting, I sat down for a couple of weeks and concocted the Pennywhistle Oracle!!!!! <dramatic sting>
SO!
If yer a potential nOOb or a long-time-consulter of the WWW (What Was i Wondering?) lurking in the unregistered darkness, or even yet a seasoned, salty, old regular - go on - sign-up if necessary and consult the ancient (1 year old) Penny whistle Oracle!!!
I will post the new thread post haste! You can ask the Oracle anything! (that is concerned with the pennywhistle and the playing there-of, or even other stuff - it should be a hoot!) And your question will be answered!!

Me either. Never be automatically logged in. What if some non-reasonable person should get on your PC and say lots of bad things under your name? Hmmm?Lambchop wrote:I never do that. Never. Four important things to do: 1. Lock your PC when you're not there. 2. Never use automatic log-in. 3. Never give out your password. 4. Never use a debit card online.
