Have a look at the end of the third paragraph. I may be wrong, but that could be Picard's infamous Whistle/Rec*rd3r/Flute thing they're selling.

It is, indeed, the silver thing. I always wondered why they made one that doesn't work. Was it just to ensure that Picard could blow on it realistically while not revealing that he could play for sh!t?

I just loved it when Capn Kirk played that recorder on the movie thing.

See, it's like a weak version of the Aran Boat song and...oh...never mind.

A flute without holes, is not a flute. A donut without a hole, is a Danish.

Actually when I read the thread title I thought I'd suddenly been put up for sale.
I'm no longer trying a new posting paradigm

er ... wrong island. It's like a weak version of the Skye Boat Song.
Incidentally, the Arran (two 'r's) Boat Song is named for the Scottish
island - not as many seem to think, the Irish Aran (one 'r') Islands.

I always liked the Mingulay Boat Song. Its Scottish too (so Joe won't have to go look it up) but I first heard it sung by the McPeakes, and they're Irish, so that makes it kosher, right? :boggle:

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

I think there should be a Lander, Wyoming Boat Song. I'll get right to work on that.
