People do training courses for just about everything, apart from what is arguably the most important task that many are called on to perform during their lifetimes: shaping the personality and life of those for whose existence they are (co-)responsible.

I saw in the biography that Dale's wife is a "psycometrist". I had to look
that word up. Google's first Wikipedia hit was psychometry:

I thought, "That can't be right, she works for the school system!"

Luckily, wikipedia also had the definition for pshycometics (the field

measurement). That makes far more sense.
