The triumph of good over evil is worth celebrating, methinks.

Absolutely. I'm just not familiar with the holiday apart from the name.

Very true Brother Walden.

Bring on the colours of autumn, the leaves underfoot, the coolness of the breeze, the gentle darkness of the evening and the time to reflect on death and rebirth and the wonderous glory of Nature in her most contemplative mood.

Slan,
D.
And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

I say this as one cynic to another:

:P

Put that in your pipe and see how it sucks.

He means Mabon, or Litha. The Late Harvest Festival. We are now in the Dark part of the year, what they call the "Crone" part.

We've had the warmest September since records began, by more than three degrees. In general it has been beautiful here, with more cumulus clouds that I remember seeing ever. Walking in the woods, it has been delightful.

thanks for celebrating my feast day. here is a website that let's you send an e card for st. michael's day (or any other day.) the fire coming out of the dragon's mouth is definitely worth a look. nothing like having a patron saint that kicks ass and asks questions later. sure beats having some comtemplative that sat around a chapel forever.

On this side of the Pond, St. Michael is the brand name of Marks and Spencer, purveyor of under and over wear, all apparently belonging to him.
