Tends to be a moveable feast, depending on the weather or the mood that herself is in, but of late I am totally enamoured with the Sailors Bonnet and the Lark in the Morning.

Slan,

And many a poor man that has roved,
Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

Good ones, Dub.

I've been playing the "The College Groves" (Now that's a tune you can sink your teeth into) a lot and also "The Black Rogue" but there's many others that rate very highly for me.

Are we sure that when Dub cites "The Lark in the Morning" we're actually talking about a tune there? :D

Right this moment, Cooley's Reel and Give Me Your Hand. At least, they're what I'm playing most, since I'm just learning them.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

The reel Humours of Carraigaholt, for the nonce. It's become quite the little earworm.

Tell us something.: I've been playing whistle for a very long time, but never seem to get any better than I was about 10 years ago. I'm okay with that. :)

Depends whether you are talking about listening or playing. My favorite tunes to listen to are all in D minor & they don't sound great on the whistle...Maybe I would pick Mother's Delight and Splendid Isolation.

My favorite tunes to play on the whistle are all in A minor, I'd pick Ormond Sound and Sean Sa Ceo.

Favorites to play on the pipes would be jigs in D, right now maybe Brian O"Lynn and Hardiman the Fiddler.

Sorry I couldn't pick just 2. :D

I love Mother's Delight! Haven't played it for a while, though. But I just cheat and play it in Em. To hell with the begrudgers.

'Course, there's always the C whistle for that...
