Tends to be a moveable feast, depending on the weather or the mood that herself is in, but of late I am totally enamoured with the Sailors Bonnet and the Lark in the Morning.

Loved and thought himself beloved,
From a glad kindness cannot take his eyes.

Are we sure that when Dub cites "The Lark in the Morning" we're actually talking about a tune there?
"Last night, among his fellow roughs,
He jested, quaff'd and swore."
They cut me down and I leapt up high
I am the life that'll never, never die.
I'll live in you if you'll live in me -
I am the lord of the dance, said he!
He jested, quaff'd and swore."

I am the life that'll never, never die.
I'll live in you if you'll live in me -
I am the lord of the dance, said he!

- Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Depends whether you are talking about listening or playing. My favorite tunes to listen to are all in D minor & they don't sound great on the whistle...Maybe I would pick Mother's Delight and Splendid Isolation.
My favorite tunes to play on the whistle are all in A minor, I'd pick Ormond Sound and Sean Sa Ceo.
Favorites to play on the pipes would be jigs in D, right now maybe Brian O"Lynn and Hardiman the Fiddler.
Sorry I couldn't pick just 2.

I love Mother's Delight! Haven't played it for a while, though. But I just cheat and play it in Em. To hell with the begrudgers.feadogin wrote:My favorite tunes to listen to are all in D minor & they don't sound great on the whistle...Maybe I would pick Mother's Delight...
'Course, there's always the C whistle for that...
