Some years ago I bought a book called 256. This is apparently the number seats on Northern Line train.

Each page was a description of one passenger, their looks, clothing, thoughts, etc.

One of the passengers was a pigeon (though it wasn't occupying a seat).

Well, it was a few years ago that I read the book, but it was something along the lines of "Coo, coo, ...., coo, coo"
