The photo reminds me of an experience a friend had when trying to fight in a Society for Creative Anachronism tournament years ago.

There he was all decked out in what qualifies as armor in the SCA and he'd been fighting in tournaments for several years when some guy refused to fight with him because he said my friend's fighting skills were untrained enough that he was dangerous.
(Dangerous in the SCA is not knowing how to fight well enough with your weapons not to hurt someone.)

That infuriated my friend so all 5 foot 4 of him went to one of the judges and complained.

The judge he complained to stood about 6 foot 2.
The judge picked up my friend by the arm pits (armor and all), lifted him up into the air, shook him, then threw him down
and said, "na, ya don't look dangerous to me".
