Happy Independence Day!

Post by peeplj »

To all my fellow Americans, wherever you may be, I hope you have a safe and happy 4th!

To all my friends who hail from other lands, please join us in our celebration if you wish, or at least, please take no offense.

And wherever you are, whoever, whatever you may be, please be careful and be safe, and have a safe, sane, and happy holiday.

Best wishes to all,

James Peeples,

I was looking at an original signed copy of the Declaration of Independence and the Articles of Confederation a few hours ago. They were in the same room with the famous painting of Oconostota, one of my kinsmen of the same era.

I wish they sold sparklers here in July. I think if they do sell them I'll have to wait till late October.
We're having a barbecue tonight in the back garden/yard/patio!

It's worth trying Chinatown in London (Gerrard St & Wardour Street). They tend to have fireworks all year round. In fact you can get them through the toyshops or hardware shops if you order them.

Well, perhaps you can have your own private 4th of July (secretly of course) during Guy Fawkes Day.

Happy and safe 4th y'all.

woke up to our "traditional" flags all along the street - a local realtor put a small flag at every driveway in the neighborhood every year.

May everyone have a safe day (and does anyone know where to buy REAL M-80s??? :o )
