Once upon a time, a young person called Bill decided to spend a year making his own way.
Each day, he would do his own thing. He became a man of the world, building his life with his own hand, enjoying each part for itself, as if he were a child. Finally he caught the eye of a woman seeking someone to place in work. Bill believed he wouldn’t last a week. “It’s a case in point,” he said, “that the government runs this company. It’s only one of a number in the same group. I won’t be driven. It’s not my problem. That’s a fact.”

This time he went too far. I mean, that person, 26 year old, was way over the top on that day. Christ, he even showed me this god-awful thing! Man, for the world of me, never in my life would I have believed such bizarness existed..He showed me his hand, that was in part severed from his wrist! I wasn't alone there either! There was this child there too, poor kid, traumatized he must have been, and believe me, with not just one crying eye.
The woman standing next to me said she had seen him before. She said he was employed at a strange looking place on 42nd street. I don't even wanna know what kind of work that was, would give me the creeps for more than just one week just thinking of it. Apparently his case was the only one of this disturbing kind, a point made by our trustworthy government, ha, my foot! Who can you believe in this age?
Anyway, this sicko's company dealt with a substantial number of blood group sects. I kid you not, this is a problem that should be dealt with now. The sooner the better. Fact must be separated from fiction.
edited for typos..and stuff..

“Time, gentlemen,” called the person behind the bar. “It’s like this all year,” she complained. “I hate the way they sit there as if they had all day.”
“Don’t make a thing of it, Doris,” said the man with the pint glass. “That’s how the world wags – that’s life – it isn’t going to change.”
“Give me your hand, ‘fore e’er we part,” he began to sing, but stopped when the barmaid looked at him as if he were a child, freezing him with a dark and forbidding eye. “It doesn’t take much for a woman to put you in your place,” he thought, but said nothing.
“Come on, drink up,” called Doris, “I’ve still got to clear up this room. I swear, the work will take a week.”
“You’re a hard case, Doris” said a tall fellow with a whisky glass, “ But you have a point. Organizing a Pub like this must take some careful government. But we do enjoy your company!”
He led a number of drinkers to the exit, leaving in a group. “One less problem,” He smiled, as he passed through the door.
Doris turned to the chap with the pint glass. “Out with you,” she said. “You’ll lose me my licence, and that’s a fact.”

Comes a time when a person needs a year off to find their own way, or maybe just a day is the thing a man needs to find his place in the world, to take life into his own hand, play his part, embrace the inner child, eye that special woman at his place of work, or take a week to make his case, make his point, see to the government of present company, though the number of the group is but one, which is not a problem, but just a simple fact.

I hear ya, Martin. In fact, where is the word ****?Martin Milner wrote:This study was in England, right?
So where's the word RAIN???
I think the study was flawed.
And the word Football? And ****? And *******? And motor?
This isn't how people talk in England at all.
I think this study is of words (only) written in the better class of newspaper.

Time gives each person a year at the end
To reflect on the way you passed every day...
To ponder each careless thing said to a man
Who shared this world and this life.
It holds in its hand every part of existence
But parses out moments like a jealous child.
It guards its domain from the other dimensions,
Its eye carressing every minute like a woman.
In this place where all work depends on a week,
Where no case may be heard on a Holiday,
It makes a point to rush ahead without rest
Outlasting any government, or company.
Oh, it's got your number, friend, you cannot escape,
Your group affiliations can't get you a deal.
This isn't a problem you can bribe your way free from.
It's a damn certain fact that your sand will run out.

One time,
a person,
last year,
went that way.
To this day,
not a thing
from the man
has the world heard.
Life
dealt that hand
and what part
the child
with one eye
and the woman
from no place
played in such work
we will know next week.
In any case,
there's no point
in the government
or "the company"
calling this number
as the whole group will
deny they knew there was a problem
and that's a fact.
First attempt..how many can we do? *L*
