Not sure why... but it's 2022 and I'm mysteriously baack... - Location: Surlyville
Jane, I clipped your pics and reduced the size to better fit the screen. I hope you like the results.

Jim, "Live the Question" is the gentleman in the center with the whistles. Otter is the lady in the purple shirt, my daughter Emily, is in the white shirt with the "I" on the left side. Rebel is the lady seated on the right hand side. The lady on Jim's left, I do not recall her name. I think that Jim Burke may be the man toward the rear on the left in the brown shirt.
The group in the green shirts playing whistles were some of the festival volunteers.
THANK YOU Tony, for fixing the size. I don't know how to undo the damage to the formatting in the original post.

Rebel, my mistake! Confusion is my middle name and I had tried to memorize as people signed that list, but then I didn't have the list either. Your Aunt is the retired teacher/hammered dulcimer person I talked to most!
Next year I'm sure we'll run into many of you. Like Jim, we are also planning on doing the classes. Hoping to spot Otter at the Chicago doings weekend after next. I am in a dilemma as to where to be though. A few of the performers that I really want to see happen to be playing at the same time on different stages.

Yep Jens, that's the Red Anodized Overton you sold me. A nice whistle. There were so many people drifting in and out and trying our whistles, I don't remember someone with a cap with a Danish flag but it's entirely possibly. There were people from everywhere, or at least it seemed like from everywhere, at the festival. I'm also told that there's a person or two of Danish heritage living in Wisconsin.
Nope, I certainly don't need more whistles and it's mostly a harmless endeavor but I'm still in the process of weeding through what I will keep and what I will pass on to others. I hope to get through this process before I retire and while I still have a well paying job. If not I guess I will have to work through this issue in my next incarnation.
I probably get in at least two hours of practice a day although sometimes it's in bits and pieces. I work with the metronome some but don't considered my practice as disciplined as it needs to be if I'm going to progress the way I want. I make the most progress when I'm playing with others.
There were a lot of nice whistles there. I enjoyed Otter's Copeland high D. BTW, that's the Chiff and Fipple cap, given to me by Otter, that I'm wearing in the picture. Cool!

Hey Jane,
Thank you for sharing. Too bad you are not in the pictures! May be I can get a shot of you at the Chicago fest with other C&Fers showing up. I know I'll be there for sure and I will definitely look for you. Let's figure out a meeting place.
Jim, are you getting tired of playing that Rayburn whistle of yours? if so, I would gladly take it off your hands...just kidding...
By the way, the group "Suicra" we talked about, I got to see them the next day. That woman plays the flute magnificently.
Let us know if you are coming down to Chicago.
Rebl-n, are you going to Chgo as well?
If a group of us are meeting, let's plan on playing a bunch of tunes together. That would be very cool.
