Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...

Hello, Mujo: As you are probably aware, Mack is taking a deserved break while recovering from major surgery. When he signed off for awhile, he put his web site on hold. His recovery is going well...His whistles are worth waiting for...
Cheers and best to you.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

He told me a month ago or so that he would probably be selling them again in October. He made some over the summer for sale at festivals or something. This reminds me that I want to get on a list of some sort.

In a chat one evening Mack told me that he will probably be taking orders in October. That's just what he told me, but it's not official.

Yes, if things go according to plan, he'll be back in operation in October.

The problem (for us, not for Mack) is that while he's been gone, his whistles have been raved over to the point that lots of us want one. I wonder how long the wait list will be.

I hope to see our dear Mack tomorrow in person, if all goes well! I will be certain to get the dirt as best I can on first and foremost: his health, and also on the status of Hoover whistles, and if we'll all have to wait much longer before we can order again.

I have it on good authority that Mack will have a table FULL of every key and type of whistle at the upcoming Celtic Festival in Grand Junction CO. Sept. 21-22. If any of you are within driving distance, this is one FUN festival!

Lots of piping, whistles, kilts etc. And more sessions than you can shake yer whistle at!

Anyway, I'll post early next week with any info I'm able to gain.

"...when Mack Hoover will be accepting orders again..."
October first will be the date.

"His webpage never works for me..."
Still doesn't?

"This reminds me that I want to get on a list of some sort."

See October opening post

"in October. That's just what he told me, but it's not official."

It's official now!

"Yes, if things go according to plan, he'll be back in operation in October."

Please don't use the word "operation"!

"I wonder how long the wait list will be."

No more than twenty names which will not stay on a list longer than thirty days.

"a table FULL of every key and type of whistle"

An exaggeration!

Hey Mack!

Just tried your webpage again - a different addy than last time I tried, I noticed! - and it is indeed working for me now.

And Brian promised me a FULL table of every key! you better call him on that false advertising! *grin*

See you in a few weeks!

Nice picture, Brian!

Mack, it's great to hear you're officially going to start up again soon! I've really been enjoying that little narrow bore you made--works great with napping kids and also eliminates the boys having to say, "Dad, you need to stop playing your whistle now ... I can't hear the video."

We still want to get down to Colorado. I'm thinking we'll pass that way next summer. Our youngest's godmother moved to Nevada so we have been planning a trip south next year to visit her and then head over to California to visit my wife's sister. I'm already looking at that loop through Colorado

Well damn...

I'd love to drive home, see the parentals, and go to the festival but I'll be performing with my step dancing troupe at a Ren Faire in San Diego that same weekend. sh*t.
