The Evolution of Dance
I don't think this has ever been posted (if it has, my apologies). But it had me in tears it was so funny. Make sure you have your volume up so you can hear it.

Someday, everything is gonna be diff'rent
When I paint my masterpiece.
When I paint my masterpiece.
When my husband gets home tonight I'll share the video with him. I don't think he'll find if funny though. He's totally envious of anyone who can dance.
That's where he is tonight in fact, at dancing lessons. They're clog dancing lessons, but dancing just the same. When he can figure out where the rhythm is in a tune he'll move on up to ceili dance lessons.

I accidentally saw Thriller when I was four years old, at a birthday party (I think an older sibling of the birthday child was watching it). It was terrifying! Even now I hate itCongratulations wrote:Thriller is totally the best music video ever.emmline wrote:That's great. Really.
Now my 16 year old, who memorized the Thriller moves, is even more inspired.
Of course, I was scared of The Wizard of Oz too, which I saw at about the same time. I guess I wasn't ready for television yet.

I was 14 I think when it came out, and my friends and I had a slumber party the night of it's MTV premiere. Since it was the first video of it's kind, we were all flabbergasted. One of those more memorable memories, that's for sureemmline wrote:I didn't have the means to see it when it first came out, so by the time I saw the video, I was way grownup and my kids were jaded teens. Big difference.
Just recently, my MTV addicted teens happened upon the Thriller video. Apparently some famous type "singer" (yes, the quotes are there for a reason) was going through her hit list and that was on it. So now another generation has become enamored with the dance of the living dead...my 16 year old is dying to learn it now too.

hyldemoer: Tell your husband that he's not the only guy who can't dance. Once he's learned to clog, he'll be one up on me.hyldemoer wrote:When my husband gets home tonight I'll share the video with him. I don't think he'll find if funny though. He's totally envious of anyone who can dance.
