Jolt at the end of last night's LOST

Post by dwinterfield »

I'll admit that I've mostly lost interest in LOST. Still, I had it on, only half paying attention. Lots of back story about Anna-Lucia and some drunk guy. None the less, the last scene was a very big surprise.

Clearly you've not been paying attention. The drunk guy was Jack's father, the former surgeon whose career tanked when Jack reported him.
My almost 16 yo daughter, who watches with me, has a catch phrase of late: "How rude!"
Guess what she said exactly at the end of the episode?
It just seemed to fit.

But, it's so like the Lost writers to shoot without warning, so to speak though, so I guess no-one should be too shocked.

Plus, I think in the realm of storytelling karma, A-L kind of had it coming.
True to LOST form, there was a glimmer of redemption for her at the end.
The Libby actress, otoh, has a new sitcom gig, so her fate fell under a different kind of karma.

Then there is the possibility that this is a subtle message from the producers to the actors telling them to keep their partying off the roadways lest they wear out their welcome.
Crazy for the blue white and red
Crazy for the blue white and red
And yellow fringe
Crazy for the blue white red and yellow

That was some kinda episode. It was so boring and then in the last minute ---BANG. BANGBANGBANG. Definitely had me slack-jawed.
