I just had a PM from BrotherWind telling me that the female (body) half of the tour whistle has come loose and pulls out of the body when he disassembles the whistle.
Obviously, this is not supposed to happen, although it sometimes does. Delrin is exceedingly difficult stuff to glue-- not much likes to stick to it. If the whistle were currently in the US I would say to ship it back to me for a quick repair. However, with international postage and tariffs, this is not really practical. The Delrin is tough enough to stand up to assembling and disassembling the whistle just the way it is-- just be a bit extra careful. With the tuning slide out, the metal ring at the top of the body may also loosen-- again, just use a bit of care here.
Brother-- are you near Colin? If so, you could take it to him and I'll tell him how to fix it.

Hi,
I am from Pohlheim (50km north of Frankfurt). I do not know where Colin lives but in case it is to far to drive I could send him the whistle before it goes to Stan in the UK.
Actually it does not affect the playing itself. Just tuning while on session could be less easy.
So long,
Moritz (brotherwind)

I am afraid this tour seems to be stuck in Nottingham UK
I have had the Busman D+ now for about 5-6 weeks. I have PM’d Whistling Willie on 29/03/06 to find address. Had a reply saying
“Hi Mikk,I'm in work at the minute mate,I'll e mail you when I get home,
cheers.
Willie.”
Come on Willie it’s taking you a long time to get home from work. Another PM to Willie was sent 05/04/06. As yet no reply. I also PM’d Bertie to get further instructions. No reply from her also.
So I am still waiting………………..
As for the whistle I must say I struggled a little bit making the most of the extra C hole, but liked the tone and the feel of the whistle. I bought a new high D a couple of weeks ago, a Harper, which I love so the poor old Busman is just sat waiting to go on it’s travels to Ireland, Sweeden, Norway & Denmark
Cheers
Mikk
