Whistler Pattern Baldness ? ...

Post by anniemcu »

OK... what is it with Whistle Players (all male, so far) who either shave their heads or are cue-ball bald?

Too much heat from playing incredibly intricate tunes at breakneck speed making it fall out??

A bad case of lice passing through a series of festivals??

A statement of some kind??

I happen to like bald heads, myself, but this seems to be an up and coming thing, at least in the cases of several recently linked players of talent.

So... wazupwidat??

Congratulations!

Disclaimer: It is my firm contention that the having of hair or the not-having is irrelevent to a person's value as a human being or talent, realized or latent, for whistling. :D

Brian Finnegan, Matheu Watson, and at least two others whose names I cannot recall at the moment... just recently mentioned or linked here.

Another interesting point: nearly every whistler out there has a nose.

OK! OK! So I'm seeing a pattern where there probably isn't one... but it just did seem odd that the last 4 in a row I looked at all were sporting smoothies.

And many of them have learned play all three registers of their whistle WITH said nose, which is why you never, ever, use someone elses whistle.

What?

Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...

Baldness is in style, now, hadn't you noticed? I thought Michael Jordan
started it, but it's been too long now for that to be true... Maybe
Michael Stipe? Either way, it's our time now, fellow follicularly-challenged
men! Enjoy it while it lasts!

I thought shaved-heads became popular about the time that hair-follicle drug detection was invented...

It's my opinion - highly regarded (and sometimes not) by me. Peace y'all.
