Spectacular. The shape of the aurora curtain is unusually graceful and beautiful...as are the colors.

I like the little house, too. I don't suppose Norway is a good place for large windows. Hell of a flagpole, though.

Flagpole reminds me o those insidious radio receivers they are sticking up all over the place as they don't want the locals to get alarmed...or worse :really:

The lights are gorgeous - where in Norway is that?

As a foreigner living in this spectacularly beautiful country, my observation is that even the tiniest houses often have very large flag poles. This seems to be how it is done here and thus perfectly normal.

I'd love to live in northern Norway. The deep snow and the lights and the pine trees and the flag poles are beautiful. Just beautiful.

I just can't imagine what it would be like to go outside and see something like that. I think I would feel a little scared at first even though I would know what it was. It is certainly beautiful.

The flagpoles wouldn't be serving as lightening rods would they?

Ah, gorgeous! Too bad I can't handle snow, or I'd move far enough north to be able to see the lights.

They're best seen away from city lights. I saw an enormous spectacular display out in the countryside one New Year's eve, great green and chartreuse sheets just whipping around like flags in the wind. I still remember thinking how very odd it was that there was dead silence despite all that motion. It seemed as if there ought to have been some noise from it.
